How did you HONC?

17th July 2014 Off By WinchCC

Thanks to the tech wizards at Strava Labs we can now see a real time comparison of all of the Strava users that took part in the HONC back in April.

The Strava labs web page allows you to see a map of the course, with every riders progress shown at the same time. This allows some fascinating insight into how the timings of the HONC worked, where the fast riders were by the time you got to the lunch stop (already finished in some cases!) and even catches a few riders out taking some sneaky short cuts!

To take a look, visit the Strava Labs page here. Once the page loads, just click the play button at the top of the page to start watching the ride data.

This data is stored for any ride that a Strava user has done, so if you fancy having a look at some of your own rides visit the Strava labs page and add your own ride number (the last part of the url for one of your rides) into the box at the top of the page.

Dont forget, if you would like to join the WCC Strava club – click here to be taken to our page.

Strava is free to use, and can record data either from a smart phone with the app installed, or a Garmin device. We will be posting up some more information about the service soon.
