Guided tour of Cleeve Hill

17th September 2014 Off By WinchCC

We have again received a generous invite from the Conservation Officers, Ellie and Chantal working for the Cleeve Conservation Board to be guests on a guided ride on the Common looking at the areas and plants of particular interest and sensitivity.

It is the last opportunity this year and it is proposed for Saturday 4th October at 10am meeting on the Common.

This is open to all members and cycling friends not just the MTB group that often use the trails and I would hope would be of particular interest to any members that have a keen interest in our local countryside.

The ride will be gentle and a hybrid or sturdy road bike and or mountain bike will be suitable.

We are looking for up to a maximum of 40-50 participants.

Following the ride the Chantal and Ellie will organise an opportunity to try the Galloway beef, reared on the Common, in the form of a burger at the Golf Club House.

If I could kindly ask those interested please reply within 5 days to give us time to organise the necessary arrangements.
