AGM report

12th May 2016 Off By WinchCC

Thanks to everyone who attended the AGM on Sunday.

We will circulate the minutes in due course but meanwhile here a few of the highlights – there are also some good pics on our Facebook page.

Brian Hayward thanked our out going General Secretary John Mackelworth for the many years of conscientious hard work he has given the club and presented him with an inscribed glass plaque to mark the occasion & John was also appointed an Hon. Vice President of the club.

I am delighted to report that the AGM unanimously approved the appointment of David Thomas to succeed John. David brings a wealth of cycling & professional experience to this role.

Well done to Angie Appleton who was presented with the Club Shield, for raising the most amount (over £600) in last year’s BHF Cotswold Bike Ride, by the previous winner Carole Ward. We will again match any sponsorship club members raise in next weekend’s BHF Cotswold Bike Ride up to a maximum of £400.

John Harkness presented his Treasurers Report which shows the club remains stong financially. He also explained our reasons for de-registering from CASC & proposed an amendment to our articles of association resulting from this. This was approved.

Gerard McHugh our Membership Secretary reported that the new online Membership Application is up & running & working well.

The club is in good shape & growing & I would like to thank the very many of you who have contributed to club activities in the past year.
