Charitable Donations
Some of the proceeds from our two annual events (HONC and Falling Leaves) are donated to worthwhile causes. In the past year, the club has donated £1000 to the following recipients:
- Gloucestershire Air Ambulance
- Cancer Research
- Anthony Nolan Trust
- Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB)
- Cheltenham Hospital Oncology Department
- British Heart Foundation
- Winchcombe Scout Group
- Cancer Research for Children
Members have also taken part in charity events including a 1400 mile ride from Amsterdam to Florence undertaken by Adrian Teague in April this year. In September 2002, Joe Cook rode 600km accross the Australian outback in aid of Cancer Research for Children. Once again, the club supported the British Heart Foundations' 40 mile Cotswold Bike Ride.
