FALLING LEAVES
68 cyclist signed up for the Falling Leaves on Sunday and 51 completed the course in almost perfect conditions. They included the following 12 riders from the club:
Tony Ballenger, David Birch, Wayne Coombes, Sarah Davies (only lady), Richard Fryer, Mike Harvey, Pete Morris, Graham Morrison, Russ Parker, Nick Mundy,William Pidsley and Stu Richardson all completing the event in good time.
Nigel Hughes had to abandon with mechanical problems resulting in continual chain jambs. Neil Hunt of Winchcombe was the first back in 4 hours 7 minutes. John Maclelworth road around but had to get home so missed the finishing control.
Many thanks to the volunteers Roy and Lorraine Goodbier, John Taylor and Martin Jauch who manned the controls and Alison Hay, Brenda Jauch and Terry Metherall who help at the finish
Having run the event for the past 15 years I would like to pass it on to another club member who would of course have my full support.
